Old School Computer Games that used to cost $40.00 and you had to put the CD in to play, are now games of the past. You can Download and Play any of those nostalgic games for (mostly) under $10.00!

Well, they are back!
I discovered the BEST website for all of my favorite computer games. At GOG.COM
I don’t get any commission for suggesting this website. I was just so thrilled to stumble upon it, that I wanted to share the wealth. And I have downloaded some of the games, and they work great.
Downloaded might not be the best word here. Because after you buy it, everything is actually kept online, so it won’t take up a ton of your memory on your computer.

Heroes of Might and Magic (all volumes)
One of the original geeky magic games. It is a turn-based game, so it can be a little slow going to those who are used to real-time gaming. But the magic and strategy will keep you hooked for hours! I suggest listening to a book while playing.
Betrayal at Krondor.
This one is a shout-out to my dad who played this game when I was little and I would watch. It is based off of a fantasy series. The coolest part of the game were finding chests of treasure that were locked with a riddle. This was before google could answer all riddles, so it was fun helping him figure out how to open the chests.
Crystal Caves
This is a no-brainer 2 dimensional game. Move left, move right, and jump. But getting the timing right in each level is the tricky part.
Civilization (all versions)
Although some of these will pass the time just fine, some of them I consider educational. So if you want to introduce your kids to hours of playschool, I’d suggest Civilization. It’s funny how much I learned just playing that game. Sure I learned about the seven wonders of the world, the great space race, the different ancient civilizations in class, but they all come together in an unforgettable way with civilization.
Myst (all levels)
Talk about the first and hardest mystery game! Trying to solve all the puzzles in this game can be very difficult without cheating. But once you finally finish the game, you realize how orderly and beautiful the whole challenge is.
Riven.
A much harder sequel to Myst – One that as a teenager I could not figure out.
Most Lego Games.
These are the same version of the video games, just for the computer. . . Also, these are new enough, that they are still on the expensive (for me) side.
Witcher
Possibly has a show based off of it?
King’s Quest (all volumes)
This is truly OLD SCHOOL RPG game. You walk around, and you have to TYPE IN instructions, like OPEN DOOR. TALK. CLIMB BEANSTALK. I loved it.
